Classes are available for children between the ages of 3 – 12 years old. Each class is designed to stimulate their growing minds and provide them with the basic tools and knowledge to create compositions confidently.
All classes are instructed by either Laura or Cynthia Bernstein.
Laura has a B.A. honours in fine art, art history, a post graduate certificate in public relations and received her Bachelor of Education. Laura has been sharing her love for the arts and talent with young children, providing them with valuable skills as they grow to become confident little artists.
Cythia, a self-taught professional artist and teacher has been sharing her skills and knowledge of the arts for 25 years inspiring many students with her motto: "Yes you can".
Classes are offered in eight week sessions.

Students are expected to bring their own supplies to each class. Class times and date are also subject to change, with the demand and response from current and future students.
Picasso Kids
Ages 5 - 12
Sat 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Children explore the funadmental concepts of art through a variety of techniques,
materials and subjects.
Supplies: 8x11 or 11x14 spiral bound sketchbook, 4B 6B 8B pencils, eraser, box of oil pastels, fine point black marker.
Kandinsky Kidz Painting
Ages 9 - 13
Sat. 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Children will be introduced to the methods of painting through instructed exercises. Classes will focus on the use of colour, mixing and the application of paint. Students are encouraged to take chances and explore the use of colour through a variety of subject matter.
Supplies: 8x11 or 11x14 mixed media sketchbook, 4B pencil, eraser, plastic palette, 4 -5 paint brushes (a variety of sizes), watercolour or acrylic paint sets – red, yellow, blue, black and white.
Famous Artist Series
Ages 5 - 13
Thurs. 4:00 p.m - 5:30 p.m.
Learn from the great masters; how they used the elements and principles of design to create their compositions. We will be drawing, painting and at times; sculpting.
Supplies: 8x11 or larger sketchbook, pencil set eraser, pastels pencil crayons. Option choices of watercolour paints and paper or acrylic paints and canvas. Brushes suitable.
The Studio Workshop
Ages 9 - 13
Sat. 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Studio style: This class is suitable for the older child and teens. Painting with acrylics is
encouraged but other mediums are welcomed.
Supplies: 8x11 or larger sketchbook, pencil set eraser, pastels pencil crayons. Option choices of watercolour paints and paper or acrylic paints and canvas. Brushes suitable.
Creative Teens
Drawing, Painting and Mixed Media
Ages 13 - 19
Tues.7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Further develop your love and skills in drawing and painting through a variety of subjects.
Classes focus on individual projects.
Older teens are also encouraged to participate in the classes available for adults
Supplies: 8 x11 or 11x14 spiral bound sketch book, pencil set, eraser, charcoal and soft pastel set, watercolour or acrylic paints, and brushes.
